Today is a horrible day. Going to Glasgow to attend the funeral of Abigail McLellan, a wonderful artist and an inspiration.
Abigail McLellan : Scotland’s Brightest Star
Rebecca Hossack Art Gallery regrets to inform you of the passing of the much loved artist Abigail McLellan. Abigail passed away on 11 October 2009. She will be greatly missed by everyone at the gallery.
Her talent and creativity sustained her far beyond the point where she would have been forgiven for giving up. She was in the studio the day before she was admitted to hospital. She expected to be back.

Charlotte Cory’s Curious Chair’s

Charlotte Cory’s fantastic new show Cabinet of Curiosities opened last night at Rebecca Hossack Gallery Charlotte Street. A fabulously eccentric collection treasures big and small await you!
Peter Clark: Paperwork – Now available!
Peter Clark : Paperwork – Priced at £24.95
Old maps, love letters, stamps, playing cards, match boxes, rosettes, buttons and labels all form the starting point of Clark’s innovative and often humourous paper collages. He undertakes scavenger trips to antiques fairs, markets and second hand stores to find the right objects to inspire him. Paperwork presents the working methods of this unique and talented artist, showing the progression of his work from found ephemera to amazingly detailed, colourful and engaging works of art.
Peters new show- ‘ Showing Off ‘ will begin at Rebecca Hossack Art Gallery Conway Street, on the 2nd December until the 24th December 2009. The booked will be launched at the show with artist and author present for book signing.
